It's the most wonderful time of the year....no, not Christmas, it's the Anniversary Sale at Nordstrom! The department where you can get the best deals in the store just got even cheaper! You can check out BP now until July 31st and get EVERYTHING you could possibly want or need for back to school. Here's an outfit to give you some ideas for back to school! Plus, the great thing about it is every piece could be worn separately with another outfit--and they're all great for summer or fall!
In case you've been living under a rock, BP=Brass Plum, Nordstrom's Juniors Department! Featuring prices comparable with PINK, Macy's, and Abercrombie, they're famous for popularizing the floral skirt, open cardigan, and $10 shades. However, they can be really hit or miss, so here's my top 5 buys for summer 2010!
Hey, so I know a lot of you are just like me, and you also have semi-formal end-of-the-school-year dances! So I've compiled a list of dresses that are under $100 (my budget) that are super cute and I can almost guarantee no one else will have! So you can be thrifty and unique!
WHY? Flat sandals are great for summer because they aren't fancy or uncomfortable like espadrilles (the wedge ones with the wood heel) or high heels (self-explanatory). They're awesome for the beach since you can just dip them in the water to rinse off sand, they're portable (since they're so thin), and they're convenient and easy to slip on!
WHERE? You can find flat sandals at pretty much any department store, along with PacSun, American Eagle, and H&M.
WHY? Rompers are pretty much just a top and shorts attached to one another. They can be super casual or even semi-dressy, depending on the accessories. For example, pair one with some cute Keds, Toms, or Vans and a light, open cardigan for a fun bike ride and picnic during the day. That night, however, slip on some snazzy sandals and layer on some bangles and flashy necklaces for a cooler, ready-to-party vibe.
WHERE? Check out BP Nordstrom, Free People, Macy's, and PacSun for some cute (and usually affordable) rompers!
WHY? A "Day to Night Dress" is great because it's a smart way to save money. It's basically a 2-for-1 deal. During the day, you can wear this type of dress with flip flops, Oxfords (take a lookie loo if you don't know what these are), or Top Siders (confused? here's a pic!). At night, a pair of wedges or heels and a pretty coat will fancy it up for some summer night fun! :)
WHERE? Forever 21, American Eagle, Department Stores, Wet Seal, & MORE!
