Hey guys! This weekend I got to go to Jingle Bell Bash 2009 in Seattle hosted by KISS 106.1 FM!!!! I absolutely looooooved it!! Here's a list of all 10 bands that played:
1. Amber Pacific
2. Push Play
3. This Providence
4. Cash Cash
5. The Maine
6. Hey Monday
7. We the Kings
8. All Time Low
9. Cobra Starship
10. The All-American Rejects
My favorites were definitely We the Kings and Cobra Starship, both bands were just crazy good performers! The lead singer for Cobra Starship, Gabe Saporta, is an amazing dancer, and We the Kings were hilarious and fun to watch! Here's some pics I snapped during the 7-hour concert:
I could have touched the stage from where I was standing!!
Since I'm on the "executive council" (student government) at school, I'm required to attend all dances. This one wasn't very fun at allll, BUT the theme got everyone back into a summer groove! :) Andddd, I went to my friend Clayton's house and hung out with friends after, which was a BLAST :)
Here's a pic of my friends and I. Kristen (the second blonde from the left) brought us all back shirts from Sweden this summer, so we finally had the opportunity to wear them!
Left to Right: Courteney, Kristen, Zoe, Ellie, Philly, and me !
Please excuse our weird bottoms (I'm wearing bermuda length jean shorts), our school has a stupid dress code. :(
I LOVE LOVE LOVE skiing, so I thought I'd share some of my fave skis this season (and last!) You may think last season's ski models are a big no-no, but think again! They're a super great way to save some cash but get skis that are practically the same as this year's models, maybe they'll even have a cooler design. For example:
I am obsessed with these 2008 Roxy Hocus Pocus Skis:
However, this year's model isn't neeearly as adorable! Plus, compare prices @ $150 for last year's, and $470 for this year's skis. And, FYI, the $180 pair isn't even used! Check out this year's Hocus Pocus skis:
BONUS: Roxy's skis are manufactured by Rossignol, so they're high quality & these are twin tips, which mean they're pretty versatile and great for intermediate skiiers!
My second favorite pair of skis! This is waaay unheard of usually, but there's a pair of K2 skis on sale for only $124.93 at REI, which is one of the most trusted and respected sellers of skis in the biz. They have a experienced and knowledgeable ski team on staff to help you get fitted, etc.! Without further ado, here are the mega awesome skis:
Hope you've had a wonderful winter so far and get ready to kick off the ski/snowboard season!
Everyone has their Thanksgiving traditions, and my family's is for me, my mom, and my dad to go to Salty's, a restaurant sitting directly on Alki Beach on Puget Sound. We reserve a seat right next to the windows, which offer a view of all of Seattle, and munch on DELICIOUS seafood picked straight from the area daily! In addition, they have tons of Thanksgiving originals like turkey, gravy, cranberry sauce, and more! What's your Thanksgiving tradition?? Leave it in the comments :)
Check out these songs...you're guaranteed to love them! :
